Tested Hogryder's solvent theory once before on a
92 HD Dyna WideGlide belt. WD40 will eat the belt.
The little brass plunger in the stock tool kit is
a belt tension indicator. If you don't have the book
or the tool, 1/8th inch of deflection on the belt is
about right. Check as you would a fan belt.
